Burberry Complete Eye Palette No.05 Dark Spice

Last year, on my 25th birthday, my generous boyfriend gave me my very first luxury eye shadow palette after randomly terrorizing one of the most helpful beauty enthusiast on Instagram.

Sleek and luxurious, the packaging itself must have caught a lot of attention, overall, it`s Burberry, it`s a luxury brand.

The coloring of Burberry Complete Eye Palette No.05 Dark Spice might be not entirely innovative and groundbreaking, you won`t find any red and orange shades here, but this is a classic and travel-friendly palette as it consists of four hues that can create both days to night looks and will be a great pairing to almost all warm-toned lip and blush shades.

All shades have satin finish with medium payoff but you won't have any issue to build the intensity. They are buttery without any fall out and easy to blend. It lasts all day without primer though they will fade a bit throughout the day.

Here are the breakdown of each shade, as there are no names and descriptions about the shades, I will just number each shade based on the order in the palette which are :

Number 1 - This turmeric shade is unique and wonderful. I thought the color would not show up on my lids but it shows up beautifully. This shade is my favorite and the star of this palette

Number 2 - This red-toned coppery brown with copper shimmer reminds me of star anise. I have a couple of brown shades but none of them have a red undertone in it. I use this shade as my crease shade.

Number 3 - This dark brown with bronze shimmer reminds me of a dried clove. I use this shade to darken the outer area of my eyes.

Number 4. This warm-toned black is a bit dry compared to the three previous shades but there is no issue with pigmentation or blending. Among all four shades, this is the least used shade as I rarely create super intense smokey eyes, but I can use this to mattify my shiny liquid liner.

Despite the fact that the price tag is quite high for a 4 shades palette, I enjoy the quality though it`s not entirely unique and it`s not as buttery as the Lorac Pro palette.

If you are not a hoarder and you want to have a single palette that you are going to use until it hits the pan, this palette can be a great option for you.  But if you are easily bored and the shades within don`t call your name, there are a lot of affordable to high-end palettes out there that will satisfy your need. In the end, no one will know how expensive your make-up is unless you keep bragging about it everywhere.

Have you made a bunch of green-eyed monsters look at you furiously in the public toilets because of this luxurious palette? Sound off below!
