The Best Product for Acne Scar : COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence Review
Unless you live under a rock, you must have been familiar with the snail trend over this past few years. I didn`t live under Patrick`s rock, I just thought it was completely yucky snake oil trend, but let me correct myself by saying, it works!
My opening statement might be gimmicky, but sadly, it`s not. I finally can give all credits to myself to purchase something without doing any proper research beforehand (no placebo effect, I assure you) and for running a couple of times between the busy Myeongdong`s Olive Young and Boots (not to mention climbing to the Boots` third floor ) just to find the COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence in the crazy cold Seoul`s weather at night.
Marketed as a ` lotion to protect skin from moisture loss, keep skin smooth and healthy without the use of heavy oil', the essence itself has a mild, pleasant smell and a quite thick and slimy texture. It doesn`t feel heavy on the skin, easily absorbed, and leaves you with an amazing plumping effect without any tacky slime trails left afterward.
It's neither elixir of youth nor hydration as I can't rely on this essence alone to keep my skin hydrated or to vanish my dry and wrinkly under eye areas. However, I notice that my acne scars fade pretty quickly and it improves the texture of my skin, especially the pores around my nose after 3 months using it regularly.
Generally speaking, I can`t recommend you to try snail-mucin-based products straightly after you read my post. There are a ton of products in the market which contains the same nutrients found in the snail mucin. You have to be aware that the effectiveness of the mucin itself might vary across the brands due to the snail species and how much snail mucin the product contains, for example, COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence consists of 96% snail mucin and follows by 11 non- snail -mucin -ingredients.
