January 2018 Beauty Favorites
This January has been pretty positive and uplifting as I proudly ticked some of my to-do checkboxes and make tiny, tiny, tiny accomplishments, not to mention that I post every Monday this month.
Today I am going to give a brief, really brief summary of products that I kept using throughout the month. They are not generally new, but I kept reaching out last month.
Nuxe Multi-Purpose Dry Oil, Face, Body, Hair - I will be totally up front to say that I was struggling to use this product as it is not extremely moisturizing and it weighs down my hair if I use it as a leave-in conditioner, but this works wonder as a pre-shampoo treatment. Apply this oil on your hair, leave it for 10 -30 minutes before washing your hair, and et voila! it leaves you with soft and manageable hair. Don`t ask me how it works, just thank me later.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - Hands down the best drugstore micellar water I have ever tried and it doesn`t cost me an arm and a leg.
Palmer`s Cocoa Butter Purifying Mask - Anytime I got hormonal cystic acne especially around my chin, this green clay mask (which isn`t green) calms down the flare.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask - My lips love this overnight lip mask on those days when they are cracked and about to bleed.

Make - Up
This year isn`t about buying new stuff, but using products that have been sitting on my vanity forever.
Max Factor Ageless Elixir Miracle Foundation in Sand (60) - Max Factor always has had a place in my heart since I started using make-up and this 2-in-1 serum foundation can be considered one of my new cult classics. I won`t suggest oily skin ladies try this but if you have super dry skin, you might love every drop of it. This foundation is not transfer-proof and you need to build up the coverage to have longer staying power.
The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer in #2 - Amazing coverage and staying power but extremely limited shades. It does oxidize a bit and can be a bit dry for under-eye areas so I only use this to cover up acne scars.
EcoTools Perfecting Blender Sponge - I never splurge on a blender sponge because it`s just a sponge, but I was wrong. There is something about this blender that makes my foundation looks good until the end of the day.
L`oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise - everyone has been raving about it and no further explanation of why I love it too.
Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Flipper, Max Factor Excess Shimmer in #25 Bronze and Make Over Powder Eyeshadow in Gold Knight - I have them forever in my drawer but just lately utilize them as these trios create such a beautiful combo. Max Factor Excess Shimmer in #25 Bronze is actually not bronze but a copper gel-mousse eye shadow that blends easily. I have it for years but it hasn`t dried out yet. Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in Flipper is a pigmented pale orange shade with tons of glitter. This works great as an eye shadow topper but you have to use a primer or any tacky eye shadow underneath to prevent it from migrating everywhere. Make Over Powder Eyeshadow in Gold Knight is a shimmery yellow-based gold shade that is extremely pigmented. The application can be tricky as this is a powder shadow, make sure to tap the excess product before pressing it onto your lids.
