L`oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara and Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascaras Review

Today, I am going to review two famous mascaras that have gathered loyal followers, the Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara in Black (a mouthful name) and L`oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise in Blackest Back.

Before we go further, I prefer volumizing mascaras which do not give the spider leg effect as my lashes are pretty long. FYI, mascara is one of the trickiest products for me as I've tried a mascara that adds a lot of OOMPH and length to my friend`s short and straight lashes but it does nothing on my lashes.

Have pretty much similar price points, these two mascaras are also pretty hard to find. The Kiss Me Heroine is sold only at Watsons and Selected Guardian chains, while L`oreal hasn't officially sold the Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara in Indonesia. Both are targeted as volumizing mascaras and they are inky/wet mascaras, but not that inky, so they won't migrate crazily under your eyes.

Now, let`s break them down into two sections!

Isehan Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara probably is one of the most famous Japanese mascara in the market. I personally feel that it should be promoted as a Curl and Volume as it doesn`t give much volume on my lashes ( I can`t blame the mascara as my lashes are pretty weird)  but it holds curl all day, from day to night.

I love the curl and a little bit of definition it gives me, but taking them off is a completely different story. This is extra waterproof so that an oil-based cleanser is necessary. Micellar water won't help you to clean them thoroughly.

I love the wand, the staying power and how it holds curl all day, but one major turnoff is, it has a pretty strong burnt smell ( yes, you read it correctly).

Moving on to the L`oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise. 2017 was a big year for the dupe of Too Faced Better than Sex mascara, as almost every beauty guru mentions it in their yearly favorite videos. I just need to try it two days in a row to understand why.

Don`t let the jumbo wand intimidate you,  applying the mascara using this hourglass-shaped wand is as easy as applying the Kiss Me Heroine Make Mascara.

This waterproof mascara doesn't have any strong scent and is pretty easy to remove unless you coat your lashes multiple times until they become 'crispy'.

The only downside is, it doesn`t hold curl, but this isn`t marketed as a curl mascara.

Update 06/05/2017: The Lash Paradise mascara does smudge a little under my eyes and it can give me extra OOMPH after several applications, but it makes my lashes crispy (running out of a proper adjective to describe it).

Final thought:

Which one do I prefer? L`oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise! I always have had a thing with L`oreal mascara since my Polish sister introduced me to their mascara.

Which one do I recommend? both. If you are into a curl, Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl is a winner, if you are into volume with a little bit of lengthening, and a mascara that is easy to be removed, L`oreal Lash Paradise is the one for you. If you are into curl and volume, try both and be broke!
