Peripera Ink Original and Peri`s Ink Review
After nearly a decade of liquid lisptick, I am bored, so when my friend who is living in Korea said that she favors Peripera Ink Airy Velvet , I gave it a go!
When I was digging around each beauty shelf in Korea, I found three versions of Peripera lip tint, which are Ink Original, Peri`s Ink and Airy Ink Velvet, but Peripera`s website reveals that they have bunch of sisters besides the above mentioned.
After quick observation and testing due to extremely limited time, I decided to pick Peripera Original Ink in No Way #3 and Peripera Peri`s Ink in Soul Burgundy #5.
In terms of texture, both of them are thin and liquidy, if it makes sense. They both have quite identical fruity scent and sweet taste which not bothering and will be gone in minutes, meanwhile, the Airy Ink Velvet has quite a whipped, light weight mousse texture and strong scent (which I don`t favor).
Peripera Ink Original in No Way #3 is an orange red shade with a satin finish, several applications are required to achieve full pigmentation but it is buildable and lightweight while Peripera Peri`s Ink in Soul Burgundy #5 is a medium burgundy shade which a bit sheerer than the Ink Original and has a glossy and balmy finish. Both have pretty good staying power, around 4 up to 5 hours without eating greasy food. They leave stain but it won`t stay until the other day and easy to be removed. They are not transfer proof but they don`t bleed either.
Housed in identical tubes, I was quite surprised to find the applicators are different. The Ink Original has a flimsy and flexible applicator while the Peri`s Ink`s is firmer, but I don`t have any issues with both of them.
Are they drying? a bit, but anything dries out my lips anyway, so I think if your lips are tough like Wonder Woman, it won`t be a major drawback. The only drawback is, due to the thin and liquidy texture, it `s really easy for both of them to get on my teeth.
Do I recommend it? Yes, especially if you want to try bright shades but you don`t want to look overly done. They aren`t matte which sometimes can be too strong and you can control whether you want to go natural or go bold, just make sure you wipe your teeth after!
Have you tried any Peripera`s Inks ? If yes, sound off below!
